Difference between infrastructure vs architecture


An architecture is a conceptual model of the components of some IT system; infrastructure is the hardware components.

Reminds me a bit of how some anonymous wag thought to differentiate hardware from software:

Those parts of the system that you can hit with a hammer are called hardware; those program instructions that you can only curse at are called software.
